Moving

After quite a while, we're finally proud to announce that Fine Line Press has been updated with not only a new look, but a new name: Blue Call 'Zine -- Blue Call for short.

Some of the recent changes made to the website include:

*A brand new layout.
*A new LJ for updates located here.
*A mailing list for updates located here.
*A place on the website for updates.
*Information about the new name, updated submission information, and FAQs under "Information".
*And, also, there's contact information so you can learn about getting in touch with us through our new e-mail address.

We are still accepting submissions of art and fiction. In fact, the submission deadline has been pushed back.

A lot of you may have noticed that the updates took considerably longer than usual and longer than they were planned. Joss did most of them this time as S. was busy and can't upload the websites' files from her current computer. So, Joss learned more about HTML and Javascript than she ever really needed to learn while helping S. with other endevors.

However hours attempting to figure out tables that were never used and button editing later, we're happy to say Fine Line Press, now Blue Call, is back and better than ever.

As for those of you who have been asking about advertising banners, we hope to have them up within the next week.

There are also further updates, however, they are loose for the moment as S. and I work on looking at things at all angles. Though the payment and contract information has been posted, do not assume that the this information is at all official until it has been announced.

For those of you who read the previous update, forgive me for pasting the wrong information.

Thanks for bearing with us!

Blue Call 'Zine
Joss

Note: This journal will no longer be updated or used. If any one still has a question that has not been personally addressed or cannot be found on the website, please send it to our new e-mail at BlueCallZine@gmail.com.

Re-structuring

Important Changes & Updates

*It has recently been brought to our attention that not only is there a A Fine Line Press but a Fine Line Fiction. Both of the previously mentioned are publishers. So this is your chance to name your publisher. Any suggestions should be submitted in replies to this update.

*Sam's working on the website although it's not going to updated it until all coding and other issues are resolved. Right now she's also adding a different layout and adding password and sign up capabilities.

*WE NEED SUBMISSIONS. The deadline is still mid-June unless changed (which would be, of course, around mid-June).

*Do you like the idea of a seasonal magazine or one that goes by theme (such as all BDSM, all romance, all fluff) instead?

*Would authors mind a paycut and have the site open, although with many ads, until a reader base is established and enough submissions come in to upgrade to a full fledged magazine? The stories would still be picked by us and there would be extra things in it but it wouldn't be closed off to those who don't pay until we make hard magazines or otherwise.

*Any ideas would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks for your time!

Formally Fine Line Press
Joss Rowe

Out of curiousity...

You have about a month and an half left until the submission deadline for the first issue of Fine Line Press if you want to submit anything to it -- be it art or writing.

If anyone has written anything, submit it. If not, we'd really appreciate it if people commented with a brief summary of what they're writing/drawing and a estimate of what time they think it would be done by.

So far, while a lot of people have taken an interest in Fine Line Press, they've yet to submit anything. If you're working on something, have something partially done, or are working on something for us per request or just in general either comment here or e-mail us.

Thanks for your time and, remember, you make Fine Line Press happen.

Josselyn
Fine Line Press

Submission Information, Dates, and an Updates -- Oh my!

Some of you have probably already gotten an e-mail announcing it, but we've decided that if you want your writing/art to appear in the first issue, it should be submitted by about June 15. This deadline is subject to change (which would mean it would be extended) if the website is malfunctioning or we just don't have enough entries.

If your writing isn't in by this time and/or we've already reached the maximum number of submissions, it can always be included in the next (or even a later) issue.

Also, it has been decided that the first issue of Fine Line Press will probably be be Free Lining Sanity, our less adult natured magazine -- though there's still sex -- as our submissions so far have been heading in that direction. This doesn't mean that you can't submit other things though. Not at all! We look forward to all submissions.

Thanks!

Fine Line Press
Josselyn Rowe

Quicker then I thought possible, especially considering the poor service we had received before, our site has been set up and is ready to be used in under three hours. It is still rough, however, and my partner-- Joss (I'm S. Rose, you may call me Sam if you wish)-- has yet to have a chance to look it over. All grammar issues, possible formatting issues etc., will be fixed asap.

Fine Line Press currently possesses:

A Livejournal: Finelinepress

And a now a website: Finelinepress.net.

Website

As many of you may know, we were hoping to have at least the skeleton of the website up by today at www.finelinepress.net. However, the site we were using to do so does not want to send us our login information. Are they keeping it to clone sheep? Prevent an alien attack? The world may never know.

So it'll probably be a week tops before we get any part of the website online. We don't even have the fancy "Under Construction" sign up.

Artists and Writers interested, we need the following information:

Name: What you want us to address you by apart from your writing.
Artist/Writer: State whether you're an artist or a writer.
Penname: Put down a penname if you wish to use one. Your penname should preferably be a realistic name. Ex. Damien Scott or Marian G. Wells.
LJ-user name: Your LJ user name.
E-mail address: Your e-mail.

Please send all information to Finelinepres@gmail.com (yes, one S).

The first month we get it out, we're aiming to sale 20. So that means $10 dollars an author/artist. Sound good? We thought so.

Much love.

Fine Line Press
S. Rose & Joss Rowe
